Alumni Recognized at Homecoming 2022

Homecoming 2022 took place from October 31 through November 5. The week consisted of traditional Homecoming events such as window painting and Brinner, the gumbo cook-off, the Alumni Awards banquet, and the Homecoming Tailgate. Six individuals were honored at the annual Alumni Awards Banquet the night of Thursday, November 3.

The 2022 Alumni Award recipients: 

  • Alumni Hall of Fame – Dr. John George ‘82

  • Alumni Loyalty Award – Kay Grammer Camp ‘77

  • Young Alumni Leadership Award – Cheredith Rhone ‘17

  • Honorary Alumni – Dr. Harold & Dr. Betsy Christensen

  • Bentley Sloane Award – Valerie Robideaux ‘03


In addition to the traditional Homecoming events, this year a new alumni award was launched – the Forward 5 Award. The inaugural Forward 5 luncheon took place on Friday, November 4. This new award recognizes five young alumni, across a variety of fields, for having made a significant impact in business, research, leadership, public service, and/or philanthropic endeavors.

60+ alumni attended the Homecoming tailgate on Saturday, November 5. Following the tailgate were the men’s lacrosse alumni game and the swimming alumni intrasquad meet. Rhapsody closed out Homecoming week with performances by the Centenary College Choir Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
